Senior Exit Survey: You can tell us about your experiences at UR by completing our Senior Exit Survey. Your responses will be used to improve UR and the overall undergraduate experience. If you have any questions about this survey, please contact the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at surveys@richmond.edu.

First Destination Survey: As you confirm your post-graduation plans, please keep us updated by completing the First Destination Survey. You can complete the survey as many times as needed as you confirm your plans. We are proud of you and want to celebrate your successes and help you navigate any obstacles. Career Services is here to support you in your job search and you can schedule a career advising appointment through Handshake.  If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Career Services at careerservices@richmond.edu.

Stay tuned to join us this Fall to celebrate what it means to be a Spider young grad in yoUR city. Whether you're new to your area or have moved home, Spiders want to celebrate YOU! Alumni from the last ten years, our "young grads," will be invited to join and welcome you to the area. This is a fantastic chance to meet fellow alumni in your area, ask questions, network, and share in this new adventure!

  • Five Things Every New Graduate Should Do

    As a Richmond graduate, your lifelong relationship with the University is just beginning. Here are five ways to stay engaged.

    1. Embrace the Spider Network

    As a University of Richmond graduate, there are a number of events designed specifically for you, during Homecoming and in almost 50 regional groups where fellow alumni are eager to welcome you into the Spider network. And of course we hope you’ll still cheer on Spider athletic teams when they play on campus or around the country!

    2. Keep Us Updated

    While on the move, don’t forget to update your directory information in UR Online and be sure to let us know your plans via the First Destination survey. Also, send along your life updates for inclusion in the University of Richmond Magazine’s Class Notes, which will now hit your mailbox three times each year. Photos are encouraged!

    3. Use Career Services

    You have lifelong access to Career Services resources and advisors, who can assist as you’re looking for employment or working through graduate school applications. Whether you’re starting your career or looking to offer opportunities to current students through the Hire Spiders initiative, Alumni and Career Services and SpiderConnect are here to help – for life.

    4. Use Campus Resources

    As a Spider graduate, you are eligible for a free one-year membership to the Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness the year after graduation. After that, you’ll still enjoy reduced rates for membership at the rec center and for classes offered by the University’s School for Professional and Continuing Studies. Whether learning to cook gourmet meals or learning history and languages, you’ll be able to take advantage of Boatwright Library’s borrowing privileges for alumni. And if you’re applying for graduate studies, the Registrar’s Office will help you by providing up to 80 copies of your transcript.

    5. Give Back

    Your time, talent, and treasure matter greatly for ensuring that future generations of Spiders continue to have the same experiences you had at Richmond. Consider supporting your favorite departments or initiatives through annual giving, or volunteering with the University.

    Welcome to the City events take place in August and September each year in our most populous cities for new grads, based on the First Destination Survey issued prior to graduation. These events are meant to introduce new grads to fellow alumni living in their cities, and help new grads find their footing in their post-graduate locales.
