    While the information session and tour are geared towards prospective students and their families, alumni interested in learning more about today’s Richmond experience are encouraged to register. Following the information session, an Admission student ambassador will guide the group across UR’s beautiful campus.

    The Joel & Lila Harnett Museum of Art exhibitions include: Queer Pioneers: LGBTQ+ History through the Photographs of Robert Giard; Making Your Mark: Prints and Drawings from the Hechinger Collection; Crystals: Minerals from the Collection.

    Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner
    5:30-8 p.m. | Robins Pavilion, Jepson Alumni Center

    The UR Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Jepson Alumni Center. Inductees will also be introduced during half time of the Homecoming football game. The Class of 2023 consists of Mary Adams, ’05 (swimming & diving), Darien Brothers, ’13 (men’s basketball), Weldon Edwards, R’73 (football and track & field), Lawrence Sidbury, ’08 (football), and Julie Jones Venick, W’92 (women’s basketball). If you have any questions about this event, please contact Katherine Bulifant at kbulifant@richmond.edu.

    Spider Day Evening Festival

    From 6–10 p.m., celebrate under the lights on Millhiser Green in front of the Well-Being Center. Join our evening festival featuring food trucks, a pop-up Spider Shop, appearances by this year’s inductees into the Richmond Athletics Hall of Fame and members of the 2008 NCAA National Championship Spider Football Team, and live music by Faculty Lounge, Room for Improvement, and Dogpark!

    Tailgate for Football Alumni

    All former Spider football alumni and their families are welcome to join the annual Homecoming Weekend Tailgate for Football Alumni on Saturday, October 28 in Lot C66 across from the Robins Center at 11:30AM! The tailgate will have food and plenty of adult beverages, water, soft drinks, raffles, music, and more. Because of the generosity of former Spider football players, this tailgate is a free of charge. Just look for the Spider Strong banner!

    Alumni & Family Homecoming Party
    12-2 p.m. | Jepson Alumni Center

    Spider alumni, family and friends are invited to the Jepson Alumni Center for a fun-filled afternoon! Enjoy family-friendly activities, featuring a BOUNCE HOUSE, face painting, and yard games. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are covered by the cost of admission and there will also be a cash bar. There is no charge for children 12 and under!

    URBAN Tailgate
    1-3 p.m. | The CAVE

    Join the University of Richmond Black Alumni Network and the Black Student Alliance in “The Cave” located on Fraternity Row for a homecoming tailgate. Connect with alumni, students, and friends. We’ll provide the food and one complimentary drink ticket per person, and a cash bar for additional adult beverages. Bring your family and smiles as we reconnect before cheering on Spider Football.
