It’s that time of year — Homecoming at the University of Richmond is almost here, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! Join fellow Spiders from across the generations as we return to campus for a weekend packed with unforgettable memories, spirited traditions, and plenty of Richmond pride. From tailgates and happy hours to campus tours and the big game, there's something for everyone. Whether you're reconnecting with classmates, cheering on the Spiders, or just soaking in the beauty of campus in the fall, Homecoming is your time to come home.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17
Admission Information Session & Tour 1

While the information session and tour are geared towards prospective students and their families, alumni interested in learning more about today’s Richmond experience are encouraged to register. Following the information session, an Admission ambassador will guide the group across UR’s beautiful campus.
Spider Day Lunch @ D-Hall & Spider Day Party

Cost: $10 per person rate for Alumni & Families at the door
Stop by the award-winning Heilman Dining Center from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. for a pasta station, burger bar, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, and many Spider-inspired desserts including Jersey Dirt; Homecoming 2025 giveaways (while supplies last)! University Museums Friday Gallery Hours

The Joel & Lila Harnett Museum of Art exhibitions include - Cauleen Smith: Dusk of Dawn, Bethany Collins: Dixie of our Union, & Museums+. Classes participating in the Fall 2025 Museums+ exhibition include: Gender, Sexuality, and the Body with Professor Bailey Troia (Sociology); Civil War and Memory with Professor Jim Broomall (History); Making America’s Wars with Professor Corey Payne (Sociology); and The Bible as Literature with Professor Rhiannon Graybill (Religious Studies).
Sustainable Spiders Homecoming Hangout

Connect with fellow sustainable Spiders in the Eco-Corridor for mingling, snacks, music, games, and Eco-Corridor tours! All are welcome. Join us for an Eco-Corridor tour, offered at 3:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., to learn more about the area’s amazing new developments, including the very recent additions of an orchard and food forest, a trailhead sign, micro-park, and honeybees.

Join fellow alumni and friends in the Jepson Alumni Center courtyard from 5:30–8:30 p.m. for an evening full of fun, music, and Spider spirit. For just $5, you’ll enjoy live music from the band Stonebrook that’ll keep you dancing, delicious heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar with $5 drinks all night long. It’s the best Happy Hour in town—and the perfect way to toast to Homecoming! The UR Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner will be on Friday, October 17. Inductees will also be introduced during the Homecoming football game on Saturday, October 18. The 2025 Hall of Fame class consists of Lesia Bilak-Schinnerer, '98 (women's tennis), Brent Holsten, '94 (men's swimming), Bridget Merrick, '98 (women's tennis), Lawson "Buzz" Montsinger, R'69 (football), Mark Wesselink (women's tennis coach), and the 2004-05 women's basketball team as the Team of Distinction. Celebrate Homecoming in true Spider spirit with our fun, casual Gameday Patio Party! Your ticket includes a standing-room-only admission to the game, tasty food to keep you fueled, and three drink tickets redeemable at our beer, wine & seltzer bar (21+ only)—perfect for raising a toast as Spider Football takes on Holy Cross. Cheer on UR in a tented patio atmosphere alongside fellow alumni and fans. Whether you’re catching up with old friends or making new ones, this is the ultimate way to support Spider Football and show your Richmond pride!
Please note: Children under 21 are welcome to attend at the $15 ticket price. Wristbands for guests 21+ will include drink tickets; those under 21 will receive a wristband without drink tickets. A valid form of ID will be required for all attendees to receive a wristband with drink tickets. Limited walk-up space may be available if this event does not reach capacity, so advance purchase is recommended.
Tickets will be distributed via SMS/text messaging from Spider Athletics on Friday, October 17. The Homecoming Patio Party ticket includes game and Patio Party access but does not include a parking pass. Please review the football gameday parking map for details. Advance registration closes on Thursday, October 16, at midnight ET.

Whether you’re celebrating a big win or just happy to be back in RVA, this is the perfect place to keep the party going. Price of admission includes appetizers and one drink ticket.

Your $10 ticket includes a classic D-Hall brunch (yes, it still hits) and one drink ticket. A Mimosa and Bloody Mary cash bar will be available.
