Amaya joined the Alumni Engagement team in 2025 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Alumni Networks. She manages identity-based programming, notably the University of Richmond Black Alumni Network (URBAN) and LGBTQ+ Spiders, to cultivate communities that empower every graduate to shape and share in the life of the University. She is deeply committed to integrating advocacy and equity into all her endeavors, specializing in crafting compelling narratives and facilitating belonging.
Outside of work, Amaya can be found cooking the latest recipe she discovered on Pinterest or reading a great book!
Amaya earned a B.B.A. in Marketing and a Minor in Sociology from The College of William & Mary. She previously advanced Alumni Inclusive Excellence at William & Mary, managing five distinct identity-based alumni groups, totaling 3 years of experience in the field.
